Welcome to mattwolf.net! This site is my "virtual portfolio" showcasing my original artwork. Most of what you will find here are images created entirely in the computer using a Wacom Intuos 9x12 drawing tablet, Adobe Photoshop CS, and Corel Painter 9. The purpose of this site is to generate interest in my artwork. Also, I'm always looking for new projects to work on so if you need an artist for comic book work, general illustration, or film/TV/video game concept design feel free to drop me a line. In the meantime, browse the links above and see what this site has to offer. I hope you enjoy what you find here.

December 27, 2005
OK, I have no excuses. Well I do, and here they are. SO, I got a new job through a staffing agency called Creatis and I started working at a company that manufactures fireplaces. I worked there for about a month and then the fireplace company decided to hire me on full-time. So yep, I've basically had two new jobs in the last few months. Plus I moved... twice. AND I got a girlfriend and then lost her. I guess technically "we're on a break." Why do I feel like I'm in a "Friend's" episode? Basically, what I'm saying is that life's been hectic and crazy; simultaneously great and shitty. I haven't worked on any artwork in months and I've basically let this website sit. The other element to all this, is since I moved, I was without any Internet connection for many months. Now that I have high speed Internet again I might actually be able to do some updates to this site... assuming my life will slow down to let me try and be creative again. I'm sorry for not getting anything new up in months. Looking back at my life and thinking about a whole new year just around the bend fills me with a lot of hope for the future. I want to keep working on my website and make it better than it's ever been. For those of you who are still around, thanks for staying and for those new to this website, I hope you'll stay to see what the future holds. To tide you over, I have a few "works in progress" above to give you an idea of what's up next. That's all for now, so have a happy new year and we'll see you in 2006.

• Design Notes
To view the artwork on this website correctly, please set your brightness and contrast settings on your computer monitor to see the variation between the grayscale blocks below. You should be able to see the difference between blocks X, Y, and Z and, ideally, A,B, and C as well.
This site is best viewed at a resolution of 1024x768 with 32 bit color depth. 800x600 will be OK, but anything smaller than that won't be any good. Netscape 6.0 and later and Internet Explorer should both be 100% compatible, but Netscape 4.xx won't display some background .gifs and the style sheet will be goofy. Everything else should be fi-diddly-ine!
